How do I graciously accept a compliment?


We give advice on how to accept a compliment especially when struggling with low self-esteem. Stacy tells a story from grad school that changed the way she feels about compliments. Devany brings up insects, again, but we promise it is relevant! 


We discuss how childhood trauma messes with our sense of self and how to begin healing from your toxic childhood. We suggest what we can practice instead of deflecting and how and why it is difficult to accept a positive thought about ourselves without returning one back to the speaker.
